About Trachycephalus quadrangulum (Boulenger, 1882)

Trachycephalus quadrangulum, commonly known as the Chocoan milk frog, is a species of frog belonging to the Hylidae family. This species is endemic to the Pacific slopes of the Andes mountain range, located in Ecuador and Peru. It has been recorded by scientists at elevations ranging from 20 meters to 350 meters above sea level. Adult male Chocoan milk frogs measure 53.4 to 76.9 millimeters in snout-vent length, while adult females measure 60.5 to 80.8 millimeters in snout-vent length. Adult frogs are brown or gray, with a darker gray four-sided marking on their back. Their heads are wider than they are long.
