Tmesipteris elongata is a fern that is endemic to southeastern Australia and New Zealand. It is commonly found growing on soft tree ferns in moist valleys. This species was first formally described by Pierre Augustin Dangeard in 1891. In the Australian state of Victoria, Tmesipteris elongata is classified as critically endangered.
