The male holotype of Tliltocatl epicureanus has a total body length of 50 mm. Its fourth leg is the longest, measuring 62 mm. The species' carapace and legs are brown, while the abdomen is black with rusty-red setae (hairs). Plumose setae are located on the femur of the first leg. This tarantula species occurs in central Yucatán, where it inhabits moist forest and rainforest. It is apparently closely related to T. vagans, and has a much less widespread distribution across south-eastern Mexico.
