About Tituacia deviella Walker, 1864

Hypatima deviella (also known by the scientific name Tituacia deviella Walker, 1864) is a moth species belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It was first described by Francis Walker in 1864. This species can be found in Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, India (including the Andaman Islands), on the islands of Borneo, Java and Sulawesi, and in Australia (Queensland). Adult moths are cinereous whitish in color. Their forewings bear thirteen black points: three lie near the base, four are arranged in a quadrate pattern in the inner disc, three form a more distinct cluster in the outer disc, and three sit on the outer border. Among the three points on the outer border, the middle one is much larger than the other two. A fawn-colored streak runs along the middle section of the costa.
