Tiquilia plicata, commonly known as fanleaf crinklemat or fan-leaved tiquilia, is a perennial, subshrub-like plant in the Ehretiaceae family that grows in lower elevation deserts. It occurs in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, specifically in the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Sonora, and Baja California. This is a short, low-growing plant that rarely exceeds 12 inches in height. It produces purple, lavender to bluish five-lobed flowers, as well as small ovate leaves. The leaves are crinkly with ridges and reach up to 1/2 inch in size.
