Tiquilia canescens, commonly called woody crinklemat or shrubby tiquilia, is a perennial shrub in the plant family Ehretiaceae. It grows in mid- to lower-elevation desert regions. This species is found in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, specifically in the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Chihuahua, Sonora, and Baja California. It is a short, low-growing plant that is seldom over 15 inches tall. It produces pinkish to white, 5-lobed tubular flowers. Its leaves are ovate, gray green, and fleshy, reaching 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in length.
