About Thysia wallichii (Hope, 1831)

Thysia wallichii is a species of longhorn beetle belonging to the family Cerambycidae. Individuals of this species typically measure between 33 and 40 mm, or 1.3 to 1.6 inches, in length. Its native range covers northern South Asia, southern China, Mainland Southeast Asia, and the Greater Sundas. It is the only species that makes up the entire genus Thysia, though it is sometimes referenced under the synonym Diastocera wallichii. This species was first described by Hope in 1831.
