About Thisizima fasciaria Yang, Li & Kendrick, 2012
Thisizima fasciaria Yang, Li & Kendrick, 2012 is a species of moth in the family Tineidae. It occurs in China, specifically in Fujian and Hong Kong. Males of this species have a wingspan ranging from 13 to 15 millimeters, while the female wingspan measures 17 millimeters. The base color of the forewings is bright white. The forewings feature a black triangular patch spanning from the costal margin to the dorsum, located on the basal 1/6 of the wing. An oblique black fascia extends from the basal 1/3 of the wing to just before the middle of the dorsum. A rectangular black patch runs from the outer margin of the cell to the distal 1/6 of the forewing; this patch is confluent with two black subtriangular patches that originate from the costa and termen before the apex, respectively, forming a broad Y-shaped pattern. Between the oblique fascia and the Y-shaped pattern, there are two additional black costal spots. Faint dark brown dots are scattered across the termen and dorsum of the forewings. The forewing fringe is yellowish brown. The hindwings are light grayish brown and have a gray fringe.
