About Theretra pallicosta Walker, 1856
Theretra pallicosta Walker, 1856 has a wingspan of 70–90 mm. It can be distinguished from all other species in the genus Theretra by its white forewing costa, white discal spot, and a narrow white dorsal line that is only present on the thorax. The thorax also has a white medial line. The upperside of the forewing is purplish brown, with only a serrate postmedian line clearly visible. Its discal spot takes the shape of a small white dot, and the forewing costa is distinctly marked white. The upperside of the hindwing is orange, with a slightly darker, diffuse marginal band.
