About Thaumatographa jonesi (Brower, 1953)

Thaumatographa jonesi, also known under the synonym Hilarographa jonesi, and commonly called the psychedelic Jones moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. It is found in the United States, where its range extends from Massachusetts southward to Florida, and westward to Louisiana. This species inhabits pine forests. The wingspan of adults measures approximately 12 to 14 mm. Adult moths have a distinct striking red and orange color pattern on their wings.
