Thalassoma genivittatum, commonly known as the red-cheek wrasse, is a species of wrasse. It is native to the western Indian Ocean, where it inhabits rocky reefs at depths ranging from 4 to 25 metres (13 to 82 feet). This species reaches a maximum total length of 20 centimetres (7.9 inches), and it is also sold in the aquarium trade. Its accepted scientific name is Thalassoma genivittatum (Valenciennes, 1839).
