About Tetratheca ericifolia Sm.

Tetratheca ericifolia Sm. grows as a diffuse or compact shrub that reaches 15 to 40 centimeters in height. Its stems are covered in pale brown bristles. It produces linear leaves that measure 3 to 10 millimeters long and 1 to 1.5 millimeters wide. The flowers are lilac-pink, with petals 5 to 12.5 millimeters long. Flowers can appear throughout the year, but most bloom from July to December. This species occurs in eastern New South Wales, ranging from Nabiac south to the Nimmitabel area. It grows in heathland and dry sclerophyll forest on sandy soils.
