The São Tomé paradise flycatcher, scientifically named Terpsiphone atrochalybeia, is also commonly called the São Tomé flycatcher. It is a bird species that belongs to the family Monarchidae. This species was first described by Thomas Richard Heywood Thomson in 1842, under the original binomial name Tchitrea atrochalybeia, with Fernando Po listed as its type locality. The species is endemic to São Tomé Island. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
