Terellia ruficauda, first formally described by Fabricius in 1794, is a species of fly that belongs to Tephritidae, the gall fly family. This species is native to the Palearctic realm. Its known range includes Central and Northern Europe and East Russia, and it has been introduced to Canada and the United States. The larvae of Terellia ruficauda feed on Cirsium arvense.
