About Teratoscincus keyserlingii Strauch, 1863
Teratoscincus keyserlingii was first formally described by Strauch in 1863. The holotype of this species has a total length of 15.8 cm (6.2 inches), with a tail that measures 5.6 cm (2.2 inches) long. This species is geographically distributed across Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates. Its preferred natural habitat is desert, occurring at altitudes ranging from sea level up to 1,500 m (4,900 ft). Teratoscincus keyserlingii reproduces via oviparity.
