About Telophorus cruentus (Hemprich & Ehrenberg, 1828)

This bird species, currently named Telophorus cruentus, is also commonly known as the rosy-patched bushshrike, and was formerly classified under the scientific name Rhodophoneus cruentus. It belongs to the bushshrike family Malaconotidae, and was previously the only species placed in the genus Rhodophoneus. It can be found in Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, and Tanzania. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
