Telebasis byersi, commonly called the duckweed firetail, is a small species of damselfly belonging to the family Coenagrionidae. This species was first described by Westfall in 1957. It is primarily native to the southeastern United States, with its distribution ranging north into Illinois and west into New Mexico. Adult duckweed firetails are red in color, and measure between 25 and 31 millimetres (0.98 to 1.22 inches) in total length.
