About Telamona maculata Van Duzee

Like other species in the genus Telamona, Telamona maculata has a high, almost plateau-shaped pronotum. Its pronotal crest has a mix of brown and beige coloring, and its face is pale, which stands out in contrast to the rest of its body. This species can be easily confused with the related species Telamona tristis. Telamona maculata occurs throughout the eastern portion of North America, but is rarely encountered in the southeastern United States.
