Teinobasis rufithorax (Selys, 1877) is a species of damselfly that belongs to the family Coenagrionidae. Its common name is the red-breasted longtail. This species is distributed across Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, Australia, the Torres Strait islands, Maluku Island, the Aru Islands, New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago, and the Solomon Islands. It lives in shaded, deep water habitats. Teinobasis rufithorax is a medium-sized damselfly, with an orange body and an orange-red tip on its tail.
