About Taylorilygus apicalis (Fieber, 1861)

Taylorilygus apicalis (Fieber, 1861) reaches an adult length of approximately 4–5 millimetres (0.16–0.20 inches). These very common bugs are most often light green, but can also be tan. Their outer wings are primarily brown, and their inner wings are marked with brown flecks. The tips of their wings are angled downwards at 45°, which is the source of their common name: broken-backed bugs. This species has white or pale-colored eyes, a very slender pronotal collar, and an elaborately spined extra projection on the left paramere. This species is widespread across most of Europe, the Afrotropical realm, the Australasian realm, the Neotropical realm, the Oriental realm, North America, and Oceania.
