About Taurella forresti (Distant, 1882)

Taurella forresti, first formally described by Distant in 1882, has a forewing length ranging from 15 to 22 millimeters. This species is found in coastal and subcoastal areas of eastern Australia, extending from Cooktown in Far North Queensland south to Taree in New South Wales. It is associated with several habitat types: tropical and subtropical rainforest, riparian vegetation, and gardens. It occurs especially in areas with hibiscus species, specifically Hibiscus tiliaceus and Hibiscus heterophyllus.
