About Tathorhynchus fallax

This technical description covers Tathorhynchus fallax (formerly referenced as T. exsiccata Led. and vinctalis Walk.). The forewing is whitish and heavily suffused with grey brown, growing darker towards the termen. The orbicular and reniform stigmata appear as pale spots, separated by a black dash; a second black dash lies beyond the reniform stigma. The outer line is pale, and is preceded by black marks. A terminal row of black lunules is present. The hindwing is greyish white, and is darker along its terminal edge. The species has a wingspan of approximately 40 mm.
