About Tarsius spectrumgurskyae Shekelle, Groves, Maryanto & Mittermeier, 2017
Gursky's spectral tarsier, scientifically named Tarsius spectrumgurskyae, is called wusing by local people. It is a tarsier species that lives on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This species was separated from the spectral tarsier and other tarsier species through a recent taxonomic revision, based on differences in vocalisations and pelage. Like other primate species, these tarsiers can communicate with other members of their own species using flexible call patterns. They produce different note patterns depending on the calls of their duet partner.
