It is a species of lizard belonging to the family Phyllodactylidae. This species is endemic to La Gomera. Its natural habitats include temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, pastureland, plantations, rural gardens, and urban areas.
