About Tamiops rodolphii (Milne-Edwards, 1867)

Unique characteristics: Cambodian striped squirrels are endothermic, meaning they are able to maintain their own body temperature independently. They also have bilateral symmetry, which means their left and right body sides are mirror images of one another. Habitat: The Cambodian striped squirrel lives in tropical forests, shrublands, and rural gardens. In forest environments, they are most commonly found in the forest understory and lower canopy. No specific elevation range for this species has been reported, but a closely related species, Tamiops macclellandi, has been recorded at elevations up to 1,500 meters above sea level.
