This species, scientifically named Tambja mullineri Farmer, 1978, can grow to a maximum length of approximately 20 millimetres, or 0.79 inches. Its body has a blue base color patterned with light blue longitudinal stripes. It has five dark blue gill lamellae, and the outer surface of each gill is light blue. This species is endemic to the Galapagos Islands, where it lives on the faces of rocky walls.
