About Tamasa tristigma (Germar, 1834)

This species, Tamasa tristigma, has forewings measuring 22–36 mm in length. Within its species complex, body coloration ranges from rich brown and grey-brown to green and blue-green. It is distributed in eastern coastal Australia, spanning from Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland to Ulladulla on the south coast of New South Wales. It also occurs inland at Blackdown Tableland, Monto, and Carnarvon Gorge. Its associated habitats include rainforests, vine thickets, open forest, heathland, and mangroves. Trees it favours are Casuarina glauca, Allocasuarina torulosa, and Acacia prominens.
