Takifugu oblongus, commonly called the oblong blowfish or lattice blaasop, is a pufferfish species that belongs to the family Tetraodontidae. This species is native to the Indo-Pacific region, where its distribution ranges from South Africa to Indonesia, Japan, and Australia. It primarily inhabits coastal marine environments, but it has also been recorded entering brackish water. The maximum standard length of the species is 40 cm, which equals 15.8 inches.
