Tagetes zypaquirensis is a Latin American marigold species belonging to the Asteraceae family. Specimens of this species have been recorded in Central America, Colombia, and Ecuador. It is an annual herb that grows up to 100 cm (40 inches) tall. Its leaves are pinnately compound, with toothed leaflets. The plant produces many yellow flower heads arranged in flat-topped clusters. Each flower head contains ray florets that surround a cluster of disc florets. This species is named after the community of Zypaquirá, located in the former region of Nueva Granada, which is the present-day area of Zipaquirá, Colombia.
