About Tabernaemontana pandacaqui Lam.

Tabernaemontana pandacaqui grows as a shrub or tree that reaches up to 14 meters (50 feet) in height. Its flowers have white or pale yellow corolla lobes. The fruit is orange, red, or yellow, and grows in paired follicles, with each follicle measuring up to 7 centimeters (3 inches) in diameter. This species is native to China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malesia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, and many Pacific islands. Populations originally classified as this species from the Mariana islands of Guam and Rota are now recognized as a separate species, Tabernaemontana rotensis. Tabernaemontana pandacaqui grows in a wide variety of habitats, and is found most often in drier areas. It has also been reported to be naturalized in the Windward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Panama.
