About Syringodea longituba (Klatt) Kuntze

Syringodea longituba (Klatt) Kuntze is a perennial flowering geophyte in the genus Syringodea. It grows within the fynbos and Succulent Karoo biomes. This species is endemic to South Africa’s Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces. Its distribution ranges from the Bokkeveldberge and Hantam Karoo, extending south to Malmesbury and Riversdale. Populations in the Roggevelde Scarp and lowland areas of the Western Cape are currently threatened by ongoing crop cultivation.
