About Symphoricarpos microphyllus (Humb. & Bonpl. ex Schult.) Kunth
Symphoricarpos microphyllus, commonly called the pink snowberry, is a North American flowering plant belonging to the honeysuckle family. This species is widespread across much of Mexico, ranging from Chihuahua to Chiapas. It can also be found in Guatemala, Honduras, and the U.S. state of New Mexico. Symphoricarpos microphyllus is an erect, branching shrub that sometimes reaches up to 3 meters (10 feet) in height, which makes it the tallest species in the Symphoricarpos genus. Its leaves grow up to 25 mm (1 inch) long; they are dark green on the upper surface and a lighter green underneath. This plant produces pink, bell-shaped flowers and white or pale pink fruits.
