Sympherobius barberi, commonly known as Barber's brown lacewing, is a species of brown lacewing that belongs to the family Hemerobiidae. Its native distribution includes Europe, Northern Asia excluding China, Central America, North America, Oceania, and South America. This species was introduced to New Zealand in 1936 to act as a biological control agent preying on aphids and mealybugs, but it failed to become an established population there.
