Symmerista leucitys, commonly called the orange-humped mapleworm moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Notodontidae. This species is native to North America, where it occurs in southern Canada and the northern half of the United States east of the Great Plains. The wingspan of adult individuals measures approximately 35 millimeters. Symmerista leucitys produces one generation each year. Its larvae feed on plants of the genus Acer.
