Superstitionia donensis is a species of scorpion. It is the only species in the genus Superstitionia, which is the only genus in the family Superstitioniidae. This species was discovered in Arizona in 1940 by H.L. Stahnke. It occurs primarily in western New Mexico, Arizona, extreme southern Nevada, and southern California in the United States, and can also be found in Baja California, Baja California Sur, and Sonora in Mexico. The genus name references the Superstition Mountains, the location where the species was first collected. S. donensis typically inhabits mountain terrain, and can also be found under rocks or near plants in desert terrain.
