About Suezichthys arquatus Russell, 1985

Suezichthys arquatus is commonly known as the rainbow slender wrasse, and is also called the painted rainbow wrasse. It is a species of marine ray-finned fish that belongs to the wrasse family Labridae. This species is native to the western Pacific Ocean, where its distribution ranges from Japan to Australia and extends east to New Zealand. It lives on reefs at depths between 13 metres (43 feet) and 100 metres (328 feet), and is most often found over patches of sand. The species can grow to a total length of 13.5 centimetres (5.3 inches).
