About Sturnira hondurensis Goodwin, 1940
This species, Sturnira hondurensis Goodwin, 1940, has long, sickle-shaped tragi. It is nocturnal: it forages for food at night and sleeps during the day. During the day, it roosts in sheltered locations including trees. Tree species that it uses for roosting are the American sweetgum, Quercus sartorii, Jamaican nettletree, and elephant-ear tree. It is frugivorous, and feeds mostly on fruits from the Solanaceae family.
