About Sturnella lilianae Oberholser, 1930

Sturnella lilianae, commonly called the Chihuahuan meadowlark and also known as Lilian's meadowlark, is a bird species that belongs to the icterid family Icteridae. This species is distributed in northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It was historically most often classified as a subspecies of the eastern meadowlark, Sturnella magna. Its scientific name was formally published by Oberholser in 1930.
