Strophanthus divaricatus (Lour.) Hook. & Arn. is a species of flowering plant that belongs to the Apocynaceae plant family. This plant grows as either a liana or a sarmentose shrub, reaching up to 4.5 meters (15 feet) in height, with a trunk that can grow up to 4 centimeters (1.6 inches) in diameter. Its specific epithet, divaricatus, translates to 'spreading at a wide angle'. The species has documented medicinal uses: it has been employed as a heart stimulant, and also used to treat snakebites. Strophanthus divaricatus is native to southern China and northern Vietnam.
