About Strongygaster triangulifera (Loew, 1863)
Strongygaster triangulifera is a species of bristle fly belonging to the family Tachinidae. It is a generalist parasitoid that targets adult insects. Its known hosts include beetles (Coleoptera) from more than 10 families, as well as insects from the orders Dermaptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera. This species has been recorded in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile.
