About Stromatium auratum (Böber, 1793)

Scientific name: Stromatium auratum (Böber, 1793)

Stromatium fulvum is a species of longhorn beetle belonging to the family Cerambycidae. It was first described by Charles Joseph Devillers in 1789. Although Devillers' original name for this species was preoccupied, it is treated as a valid name under ICZN Article 23.9.5. This species has most commonly been referred to as Stromatium unicolor, and more recently as Stromatium auratum, but both of these names are junior synonyms of Stromatium fulvum.
