About Strobilurus trullisatus (Murrill) Lennox
This species, Strobilurus trullisatus (Murrill) Lennox, produces fruiting bodies that grow in clusters on Douglas-fir cones. Its cap is thin and white, measuring 4โ17 mm (0.16โ0.67 in) across. The gills are adnate to adnexed, closely spaced, and colored white to pinkish-tan. The stipe is 15โ45 mm (0.59โ1.77 in) long, with a diameter of 1โ2 mm (0.039โ0.079 in), and it leaves a white spore print.
