Striphnopteryx is a monotypic moth genus in the family Eupterotidae. This genus was described by Hans Daniel Johan Wallengren in 1858. Its only recognized species is Striphnopteryx edulis, which was originally described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1847. This moth species is found in South Africa, with confirmed records from the regions of KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. The common name for Striphnopteryx edulis is the edible monkey.
