About Strelitzia caudata R.A.Dyer

Strelitzia caudata R.A.Dyer can grow up to 8 metres tall, with a leafless woody stem and a fan-shaped crown. Its leaves are 2 metres long by 0.6 metres wide, greyish-green in colour, and arranged in two vertical ranks. The seeds of this plant are black, with a tuft of bright orange hairs. It typically grows in dense clumps. Its natural habitat includes montane forest areas, and it can also be found growing among rocks on steep grassy slopes.
