About Stilbum cyanurum (Förster, 1771)

Stilbum cyanurum, first formally described by Förster in 1771, reaches an adult length of approximately 20 millimetres, or 0.79 inches. This widespread species shows a great deal of natural colour variation across individuals. Typical specimens are mostly bluish green to bluish-violet, but colour can range all the way to reddish gold. This widespread species occurs across southern Europe, North Africa, the Afrotropical Region, the Australian Region, the East Palearctic ecozone, the Near East, and the Oriental Region.
