Stigmella corylifoliella is a moth in the Nepticulidae family. It was first described by American entomologist James Brackenridge Clemens in 1861, and was reclassified to its current accepted name by Wilkinson et al. in 1979. This species is found in North America, specifically recorded from the U.S. states of Ohio, New Jersey, Maine, Michigan, Kentucky, California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario, New Brunswick, Quebec, and British Columbia. The wingspan of adult moths measures 3.5 mm. Its Hodges number is 0092. The larvae of this species are leaf miners. They feed on a diverse set of host plants including species from the genera Vaccinium, Corylus (including Corylus americana), Opulaster, Betula, and Gaylussacia, along with Hamamelis virginiana and Alnus rugosa var. americana, and create mines within the leaves of their host plants.
