Stigmella argentifasciella is a moth species that belongs to the Nepticulidae family. It can be found in the U.S. states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois. This moth has a wingspan measuring 3.6โ€“4.8 millimetres, which is equal to 0.14โ€“0.19 inches. There are two, or possibly three, generations of the moth produced each year. Full-grown larvae of this species have been collected in the wild in the months of June, August, and September. The larvae of Stigmella argentifasciella feed on Tilia americana, and create mines within the leaves of this host plant.
