About Stethopachys formosa

Stethopachys formosa, commonly known as the orchid beetle or dendrobium beetle, is an Australian insect species. It is found in northern New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and Queensland in Australia. It cannot survive in colder climates, so it does not occur in Australia’s southern states. This insect feeds on the flowers and leaves of orchids, and often causes damage to cultivated orchid plants.
