Scientific name: Steromphala rarilineata (Michaud, 1829)

Description: The shell of this species ranges in size between 8 mm and 14 mm. Compared to Gibbula divaricata, the shell of Steromphala rarilineata is smaller, more conical, has an angulate periphery, and a flattened base.

Distribution: Steromphala rarilineata occurs in relatively warm European waters off the coasts of Spain, Greece, and Portugal. It can also be found in the Black Sea off Ukraine, and in the Atlantic Ocean off the Azores and the Canary Islands.
