About Sternula superciliaris (Vieillot, 1819)

This species, scientifically named Sternula superciliaris (Vieillot, 1819), has an adult body length of approximately 23 to 25 centimeters, and a body weight ranging from 40 to 57 grams. Adult individuals have a yellow beak and yellow feet, silvery grey wings, and a white underbody and forehead. Their crown, nape, and eyeline are black. Juvenile Sternula superciliaris are patterned brown and white, and lack the adult's characteristic black cap.
